Welcome to my professional portfolio. This portfolio displays an annotated transcript of the courses I completed to earn my Master of Arts in Educational Technology (MAET) at Michigan State University, a showcase to highlight my professional development and skills, and several essays focusing on past and present professional goals. Additionally, you'll find information about my current position as an academic specialist at Michigan State University.
My Story
I'm a native to Michigan and an outdoor enthusiast. When it's not too cold out I enjoy romping around with my dog and exploring new running routes. My favorite place on earth is my family's cabin in northern Michigan. It's hard to beat floating on the lake under the sun surrounded by loved ones.
During the weekdays I stay busy teaching and advising in the Veterinary Nursing Program at Michigan State University. I'm currently teaching a variety of topics ranging from communication (focusing on client communication and difficult conversations), dentistry, and small animal nursing skills. I'm able to combine my passion for animal health and human relationships in my role as an educator at MSU. Watching my students grow and perfect their technical skills puts a smile on my face. Our animals need a voice, and it's my students who will be their advocates!

I'm nearing the completion of my MAET from MSU. Over the past few years my appreciation and knowledge of educational technology and design have grown exponentially. It can be tricky to navigate the world of education, as it's constantly evolving. My students deserve the best learning experience, and the skills and knowledge I've gained throughout the MAET Program will help provide them with just that.
